Note: If you are an adult in an Award role in an IAC, please do not take this course. You must take Level One – Delivering the Award.
This course is an introduction to safeguarding for all adults involved in the Award in any way. Safeguarding is important to protect and prevent harm to children and adults involved in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in every country in which the Award is offered.
In this course you will learn what safeguarding is and the important details of safeguarding. Remember that every Award Operator is responsible for safeguarding and must have safeguarding policies and processes in place as per the terms of their licence agreement.
Award volunteers (like yourself) must know how to respond and report a safeguarding concern you may notice.
