All adults delivering the Award in Australia can benefit from the information provided in this course. It is free and available to all who have access to the Award Community. If you are not delivering the Award in Australia, please contact your Operator before taking this course.
This course must be renewed every three years. Its content is updated on a regular basis with the latest information.
As you progress through the course, you may pause after the end of any section and your work will be saved. If you have not fully completed a section, you must redo the entire section if you exit the course or log out.
The entire course should take about two hours to complete.
Notes about this Australia-specific course:
Australia has made changes to the terminology and delivery models for the Award. Key changes include using ‘Duke of Ed’ rather than ‘Award’ and ‘Registered User’ rather than ‘Participant’. You can find these changes explained in detail in the Australia Handbook. Note that as you take this course, the first six sections will use the International Award terminology. The final section ‘Australia Module’ will detail these changes and provide context and references to assist you in using the new model.
